Outreach & Community Engagement

I am passionate about science communication and community engagement. Below are highlights from my outreach, mentoring, and STEM education activities.

• The Art of Planetary Science (TAPS)

  Lunar and Planetary Laboratory, Tucson, AZ | 2025

  

  Working at the front desk for the Art of Planetary Science.

  I helped facilitate the annual TAPS exhibition, which celebrates the beauty and elegance of the intersection between art and science. Activities included:

  • Greeting guests and answering questions about the science behind artwork.
  • Assisting guests in purchasing artwork and LPL merchandise.
  • Helping with the setup and cleanup of the exhibit space.
  • Advertising the event to promote community engagement.

• Tucson Gem and Mineral Show (TGMS)

  Lunar and Planetary Laboratory, Tucson, AZ | 2024

  

  Voluntering at the LPL booth at the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show.

  Engaged in hands-on activities with the public to inform the community about meteoritics. Topics included:

  • Meteorite identification activities.
  • Answering antendee questions about the Osiris-Rex mission.
  • Running a makeshift glove box station for a sample handling demonstration.
